The head is in his hole

I know a wide variety of people.  Most people would classify me as a ‘nice guy’ or a “quiet person”.  Unless you know me, there really isn’t much more to say.  I am a self proclaimed quiet person, I really don’t let it go unless I am comfortable with the audience or I am really heated about the topic.  Now, for the people that really know me, they would have many more verbs, adjatives and other expressions to use to describe Gabe Fransen.  Some may even describe me as a headcase.  I don’t know if I can tell any stories that specifically identify this, well, there are probably a few, but, I will not explain at this time…. Now, my friend and best man in my wedding, Tom, he is you typical “headcase”.  I would like to tell a little story about my buddy because we had a pretty awesome round of golf today.

Par 4, dogleg right with water along the right hand side of the fairaway.  Now this is a short par 4, so you can get away with hitting a seven iron off the tee and still be on ly 100 yards out.  TB, hits a seven iron up the right hand side and flirts with the water… We find Tom’s Pro V1 about 5 feet from the water, 110 yars out from the green, so he is sitting in a pretty good spot.  The first attempt at a shot to the green is a duff in to the pond, 1 Pro V1 into the water, the second attempt at a shot to the green is a fat hit of the golf ball, which also sails into the water, before I have a chance to look back at the reaction of Tom after watching the splash of the Pro Vi, I hear the Swoosh, swooth, swooth of the golf club hurling through the air… just in time, I picked up the club flying though the air just to see it splash into the pond…. 1 easy par 4 equals 2 Pro V1’s, one wedge and a quadrupple bogey, watching bird toss his wedge in the water equals priceless!
